R+D+I

Line title

The R+D+i triad has been a priority for METRO. For that reason, before the system started to operate, a group of professionals set out to fight technological dependence and obsolescence, innovate to avoid equipment wear and create knowledge to keep the international standards of service and quality.

Every day, the METRO’s Engineering area makes progress in two fronts: substitution of imports, through which it is possible to replace parts made by international suppliers; and standardization of parts, which consists of substituting obsolete parts for other parts available in the market that can work as well as the original ones.
