METRO Culture Trainees
Since 2005, METRO chooses groups of young high school graduates, who are leaders in their communities, to train them in METRO Culture during one year.
This program, founded through an alliance among the government, METRO, the community and some educational institutions, allows young people from the areas of influence of the company’s ongoing projects to acquire skills for a future job and for their personal development.
They receive training in strategic planning, service quality, sex education and responsible sexual activity, METRO culture, development of a life plan, language and communication, business ideas, among other subjects.
The program is supported by SENA (Colombia’s National Service of Learning) and it’s becoming an excellent opportunity for young people, who, after graduating from high school, can’t find a job or don’t have the financial resources to go to college.
