Our Commitment 


Metro de Medellín is a company that prides itself on transparent and dedicated management of the public goods entrusted to its care, thus setting us apart and above others of its kind.  Self-imposed standards for excellence and strict adherence to regulations in force have helped establish our reputation as a provider of world-class transportation service.  Our managerial tactics have garnered accolades from our most esteemed   critics – you, the people.  For a third consecutive year, Metro de Medellín earned award-winning marks in a survey conducted by Medellín Cómo Vamos.  This poll establishes Metro as the leader in knowledge (94%), favorability rating (99%), management (91%), and customer service (91%).

Of equal importance are the strides we made in 2008: the first stage of a southward expansion for Line A to the Sabaneta station, as well as the construction of our tourist line, which runs to Parque Arví.  These additions warranted an investment exceeding 43,000 million pesos (~ $3.4 million) – a significant commitment in that Metro reinvests its operative surplus back into the community, endorsed through the administrative and financial support of the mayor’s office of Medellín and the governor’s office of Antioquia.  These are the most salient indicators, which are further reinforced through actions, investments, programs and strategies that set us apart and that we share with the satisfaction of a job well done.
