The Library, Metro de Medellín’s Technical Documentation Center, holds the following documentary and bibliographic collections:

Technical Collection:
The Metro System’s home collection, including maps and Quality Assurance documents.  Borrowing from this collection is restricted to company employees only, who may check out material for reference purposes.

General Collection:
general interest texts, news and magazine publications, business catalogues, videos, corporate presentations, regulations.  This collection is open to the general public.

Hours:
The Library, or Technical Documentation Center, lends its services to the public Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM.  Contact us at: 454 88 88 ext. 8686 or 454 86 86.

Member Policy:
Library members are permitted to borrow bibliographic and audiovisual materials that interest them within the timeframes established for each type.

Borrowing Procedure:
To check out books or other materials on loan, readers should comply with the following process:

Interlibrary Loans

If you wish to borrow materials from the Library, please submit a duly processed interlibrary loan letter from the appropriate institution or library.  Participating libraries in the system include: Universidad Nacional, EAFIT, Universidad de Medellín, Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Universidad de Antioquia, COMFAMA, Corporación Convivamos, Instituto Popular de Capacitación, Empresas Públicas de Medellín, Biblioteca Planeación Metropolitana, Corporación Región, Centro de Documentación CEHAP.  A valid student or contractor ID required.

Member Duties: Library members should take care and make good use of borrowed materials before returning them.  Likewise, they should behave civilly and comply with security regulations enforced by Metro on the premises.

Borrowing Requirements:
Readers who wish to borrow or renew loans must return any overdue books or materials first.

Returning materials:
All borrowed materials must be returned personally by the borrowers or by a duly designated party acting on their behalf.

Certificate of good standing: The Library, or Technical Documentation Center will issue upon request a certificate of good standing to external users so they may present it for accreditation at the institutions were they belong.
